Notes/trivia
- This is the first film where the Buddies would have a major sidekick who would be Shasta.
- This is the second film that features a wolf. The previous one was Air Buddies. This is also the second film where the main antagonist is a human. The previous one was also Air Buddies and the future ones would be Space Buddies, Santa Buddies, Spooky Buddies, and Treasure Buddies.
- This is the last film where Buddy and Molly made a proper appearance. Though B-Dawg mentions Buddy in Space Buddies. Soon after, Buddy and Molly were no longer seen or mentioned.
- This is the first film that features a cat. The next films would be Treasure Buddies and Super Buddies.
- Dominic Scott Kay, Spencer Fox, and Abigail Breslin are replaced by Jimmy Bennett, Henry Hodges, and Liliana Mumy as the voices of Buddha, Mudbud, and Rosebud.
- Kay's recasting may be due to him playing Adam on-screen.
- Dylan Minnette replaced Slad Pearce as Noah.
- Tyler is now credited as Tyler Foden.
- Deputy Dan, played by Michael Teigen, replaces the recurring Sheriff Bob, who's portrayer, Patrick Cranshaw, had passed away after filming his last film, Air Buddies.
